Saturday at the movies: F-Class Showcase during Nationals Week

The 2023 NRA F-Class National Championships is currently underway at the Ben Avery Range near Phoenix, Arizona. There are two divisions, F-TR and F-TR. The F-Class Championships are divided into two segments: Mid-Range, and Long Range. The Mid-Range Championships took place from October 29 to November 1st. The Long Range Championships began on November 2 and concluded on Sunday, Nov. 5. F-TR Mid-Range Nationals Results For this Saturday Video Showcase, we feature five F-Class videos. These segments cover F Class equipment, reloading and load testing, marksmanship and wind-reading, as well as competition. F-Class Competition – On the Firing Line for 2020 Nationals This 12-minute clip by F-Open ace Erik Cortina depicts the action at 2020 F-Class Nationals at the Ben Avery Range near Phoenix. Erik Cortina, who is a member of F-0pen Team Lapua explains the differences between team matches and individual matches. The team’s wind coach makes the calls. The shooter concentrates on the trigger pull. Reloading for F-Class – Tools and Techniques In the video below, Erik Cortina, a former SW Nationals F-Open Champion and member of Team Lapua breaks down his process of reloading match ammo. Eric covers the entire reloading process: bullet sorting and case preparation, priming, measuring powder, and seating bullets. Load Development for F-Class – Seating Depth John Masek, the 2023 NRA National Champion in Mid-Range (aka “F Class John”), explains how to develop loads in a reliable and efficient manner. He focuses specifically on testing for optimal seat depth. This is the most popular video on F Class John’s YouTube channel. It has 229,000 views. Ever wondered what F Class competition is like in England. The staging rules are different and the targets are different.
