David Tubb with his ELR Adaptive Target Rifle, (ATR), which he designed that has set ELR records. David Tubb shoots this rig in the video. David Tubb shoots the ELR Adaptive Target Rifle @ KO2M. David Tubb created an ELR version of his Tubb rifle that is.375 caliber and long-barreled. It is called the Adaptive Target Rifle or ATR. David’s son in law Nate Stallter piloted a version of this rifle to set the ELR World Record in January 2018. The TUBB 2000 — Innovative MODULAR Bolt Gun David Tubb is undoubtedly the greatest High-Power Across the-Course rifle competitor in American History. Tubb 2000, also known as T2K, was his modular rifle. He won many of his championships. David Tubb shows you the Tubb 2000 modular rifle, which is adaptable to multiple shooting positions, including prone, sitting/kneeling and standing. David Tubb’s long-range rifles are excellent in Extreme Long Range shooting. David Tubb won the Heavy Gun Division at the 2019 NRA Extreme Long Range Championship. This video was made during the King of 2 Miles competition at Whittington Center in New Mexico. David discusses the challenges of ELR shooting and cartridge selection. For the ELR game, big, heavy bullets of large caliber with high BCs are preferred. However, recoil and cost should also be considered. David Tubb’s Load Development Approach In this 27-minute video David discusses case preparation and loading with both progressive and regular presses. David shares his methods. He recommends that you weigh your brass and then segregate them in one-grain increments. He then performs an initial test using powder charge weights in half grain increments (for smaller BR cases, 0.3 grain increments are recommended). He then experiments with different seating depths.
