SHOT Show 2023 Day 2: Zastava M70 ZPAP Underfolder

Zastava introduced an underfolder stock set earlier this year that could be mounted on ZPAP M70 rear turnnions. This was a novel concept as normal underfolderAKs require a special rear trunnion. After hearing these complaints, Zastava decided that it would deliver the real deal by importing a ZPAP M70 underfolder variant. The Zastava rep also stated that a second version will be released later with a side scope mount that will allow the stock to fold (even if it is not mounted). The optics rail was a problem for underfolder AKs as it interfered with their stock. However, Zastava apparently modified the design of the rail, stock, or both to allow them all to be used on the same rifle.
