TwoSee, also known by XNihilo is a relatively new company based out of California. The company presented a very big idea at SHOT Show 2023. I was surprised that it hadn’t been done before. Optic Irons are rear iron sights that attach to a pistol red dots to allow co-witnessing. The sights mount using the same screws that attach the red dots to the slide. The company claims that this design has many advantages over traditional slide-mounted rear sights. Secondly, it allows the red dots to be mounted in the same space it normally occupies. The optic can be moved further back on the slide to make it easier to locate the red dot. The Optic Irons are also protected from snagging by being placed farther back on the slide. The Optic Irons attach via the same mounting screw as the red dots, so they are always in a protected location that helps prevent snagging. Gun Digest will feature some of this work in its March issue. You can also see the Optics Irons in the March issue of Gun Digest. Target grids and bullseye sizes can be downloaded in MOA. This is a great option for long-range shooting. Enter your email address below.
