January 24, 2023 Accu-Tac has unveiled a revolutionary new product — the first ever Hydraulic Bipod. It works by a hydraulic piston at the top of the bipod. The piston’s upper end attaches to the rifle’s forearm. The piston is connected to a hydraulic line that connects to a remote-cylinder with a red crank handle (dial). The shooter can rotate the 4-pronged dial to raise or lower the rifle by turning the piston. GunsAmerica Digest (GAD), has a more detailed write-up and photos. GAD Reviewer Levi Sim explains that the red column under the rifle mount is the most important feature of this bipod. It’s a piston with a dial that rests on the table. This dial uses hydraulic pressure and oil in the hose to raise it. Each 180? Each 180° turn of the dial raises 19mm the piston. This precise adjustment allows shooters to adjust the rifle’s elevation with greater accuracy without having to move their bodies. Accu-Tac Bipod now has a adjustable leg spread that can be extended to 27? F-TR skids are located at the ends of the legs. These skids allow the rifle to slide back during recoil. These skids are fixed so that they appear to not rotate. The new bipod will be available in 2023 and should retail for around $800.00. SEE MORE Accu-Tac Bipods.
