Sig just released the P365380, a new variant to their popular CCW pistol that is chambered for.380 ACP.
Since its release, the Sig P365 has been a huge success. Both veteran concealed gun carriers and new gun owners were impressed with its shootability, capacity, and small size. The P365 is chambered for 9mm. Most people found its recoil to be manageable. However, there are always people who need to defend themselves and have issues with grip strength. Sig has just released a new P365-380 handgun. It is designed for those who need a lower recoil but still want Sig’s P365. The only significant change to the P365 380 is its caliber. However, that change brings more benefits. The.380 ACP is more manageable than 9mm when it comes to controlling the recoil of small and light handguns. However, the caliber change has also led to a weaker spring and lighter slide. This makes the pistol easier to rack and 3 ounces lighter than its 9mm counterpart. The profile of the P365-380 is identical. However, it will work with all existing P365 Holsters. The 9mm and.380 models use the same grip frame, fire control group, and although Sig doesn’t claim it is possible, it is possible to swap barrels, slides, and magazines between them. The P365-380 has the same flush-fit 10-round magazines as its 9mm counterpart. The P365-380 has only 10-round mags, which is different from the standard model. Although Sig makes extended 12 and 15-round mags to fit the 9mm model, they have not yet said if they will make the same for the new.380. However, with the newly introduced 30 Super Carry pistols competing for much of that market, it will be interesting to see how popular the P365/380 will be. The gun will come with or without a manual thumbsafe, and it will also include two 10-round mags (one that has a finger extension) as well as a magazine loader. The MSRP for the 9mm version will be $499.99. Target grids and bullseye sizes can be downloaded in MOA. Get Free Targets
