Sig Sauer just introduced the CROSS PRS, a bolt-action rifle that is match-grade and designed for precision and long range shooting.
The original Sig Sauer CROSS rifle was introduced in 2019. It was the company’s first venture into bolt-action rifles since 1990. Although it was marketed as a precision hunting rifle, it was capable of exceptional accuracy in all three calibers. However, Sig felt that the design could still be improved. The new Sig Sauer CROSS PRS rifle is now available. This rifle boasts match-grade features that make the rifle ideal for competitive precision long-range shooting. The original CROSS came with a 16-inch or 18-inch barrel. The CROSS-PRS comes with a stainless heavy-contour 5R bar. The barrel and M-LOK handguard are now free-floated. This is an improvement on the standard CROSS handguard. The CROSS-PRS, with its match-grade, adjustable 2-stage trigger, and bipod-ready Arcarail, should be a very capable performer at longer ranges. The gun’s overall weight and balance has been adjusted. Tom Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice president of Commercial Sales at Sig Sauer said the following about the new rifle: The CROSS-PRS was purpose built and features rich. The heavy-structured steel design provides a balanced feel and reduces recoil to help you get back on target quicker. The CROSSPRS’s high-quality, precision 5-R rifled barrel and folding adjustable stock allow for easy movement and balance. The MSRP for the Sig Sauer Cross Rifle is $2,499.99. It’s now shipping to retailers.
