Sig Sauer recently released the MCX SPEAR-LT series. It features eight models of rifle, pistol, and in three different calibers. The newest version features eight models in three different calibers. They are available in pistol, rifle, and factory SBR configurations depending on the barrel length. The.300BLK version can only be purchased with a 9-inch barrel. Factory SBRs require a Form 4. The 11.5-inch barrel models can be purchased in either 5.56 NATO or 762×39. They can also be bought as pistols or factory SBRs. They have aluminum frames, ambidextrous controls and flat Sig match triggers. A buffer tube is not required because of the gas piston operating system. The factory SBR rifles and pistol models can ship with folding stocks. The pistol models can also accept folding braces and stocks. All models have an Anodized Coyote finishing. The MCX Virtus, the second generation of MCX, was built for rugged durability and offered unprecedented modularity.
