They can be sighted in from a distance of between 15 and 100 yards. The boresights can be loaded into the chamber like a normal round. They also have an on/off cap. Each boresight can be powered by either 2 AG5 batteries or 3 AG3 cells. The boresights are powered by the included batteries for 1 hour. This should give you enough time to sight multiple firearms before you need to change the batteries. They can be used in any climate or environment, and have an operating temperature range of between 15F and 120F. After you have completed your elevation and windage adjustments, your firearm is ready for zeroing. These boresights are covered by a 3-year warranty, as with all Firefield products.
