FREE GUN FRIDAY: WIN A NEW Beretta APX a1, Black Hills 9mm Luger HoneyBadger(tm), Ammo, and Caldwell Emax Shadows Pro! Close The HAKA dance, performed in Maori by warriors, is quite intimidating. The dance is performed by the New Zealand Champion National Rugby Club with reverence before every match. SK Customs has released the HAKA, completing the two-part series that began with the MANA. RELATED STORY SKCustoms The MANA 1911 In Stainless Steel With Matching Knife SKCustoms Releases HAKA 1911. Starting with a full-size COLT Classic 1911 Series 70 and chambered with.38 Super, both the slide and frame are made of high polish stainless steel. The slide and frame are made of high polish stainless steel, which allows for intricate engraving and gold plating. SK’s newest Super Bright Ivory Polymer Grips further illustrate this theme. They feature Polynesian tribal art of a Maori warrior. Two Maori warriors perform HAKA on the right side of this slide, which features various Polynesian tribal symbols. A panel with the serial numbers of each pistol is located just behind the cocking and squeezing serrations. The scroll and leaf work on the left side of the slide is the same as the right. The left side, however, focuses on the face of a Maori warrior with wide eyes and a protruding tongue. This is typical for the dance. Just behind the cocking serrations, you will see a gecko. This is considered a divine creature in Polynesian culture. A series of chevrons runs along the top of slide, leading to a factory front-staked view with diamonds. The chevron bar is framed by two arrows, which symbolise the warrior, the family, and prosperity. The engraving on the HAKA is 24K gold plated, just like the MANA. It makes for a striking presentation. The hardware also has 24K gold plating, which complements the gold engraving. The plated hardware includes a high polished magazine release, grip screws and barrel bushing. Simon Khiabani is the founder and owner of SK Guns & SK Customs. “The Haka, a Maori ceremonial dance, represents a display by a tribe of pride, strength, and unity.” “We will continue to release limited-edition firearms and we will continue paying tribute to traditions, cultures, and other countries.” Availability The SK Customs HAKA 1911 is now available for pre-order. The MSRP is $3,200.00. Visit SKArmsVA.com for more information. Sign up for the Personal Defense World newsletter today to stay in the loop!
