Springfield Armory Releases a 4.25-Inch 9mm Missary 1911

Springfield Armory’s Emissary 1911 in.45 ACP was already compacted, but the 9mm Emissary now has a 4.25-inch barrel. This pistol made waves in the defensive handgun community. Springfield described the pistol’s features in a way that “bridgings the gap between duty handguns and custom handguns”, and they certainly had a lot to offer in terms of form and function. Although full-size.45 ACP 1911s represent Browning’s original design, many believe there is room for improvement in concealed models. The new 4.25-inch 9mm Emissary 1911 pistol is available to those who wanted to carry a Springfield Emissary, but wanted something more CCW-friendly. This pistol’s forged stainless steel frame, forged steel slide, and bushingless stainless 4.25-inch bull bar are all examples of high manufacturing quality and strength. The distinctive square-faced trigger guard, flat-faced trigger, and VZ G10 grip panels are ergonomically designed to improve ergonomics. The mainspring housing and front strap are also aggressively textured. The new 9mm Emissary 1911’s defense capabilities are enhanced by the tritium front sight and Tactical Rack U-Dot back sight. Also, the slide has a machined “Tri-Top”, which helps to reduce glare.
