The Large HD Lockbox is constructed of 12-gauge Steel and features a durable powder coated finish. The heavy gauge steel is drill resistant, limiting access to the contents of the safe. The massive 1/4-inch hinges have been welded and staked to prevent punch attacks.
The safe is opened by a unique multi-sidebar lock that comes with two keys. The design of the safe makes it nearly impossible to pick with traditional lock-picking instruments. The lock also has 6 billion key combinations to ensure that no two locks will be alike. A double-shear locking mechanism is also included to provide greater pry support.
The lockbox interior includes a 2 layer 3/8 inch foam floor to protect firearms. The top of the safe is lined with a compressible convoluted polyurethane foam to keep your pistols firmly in place. The Large HD Lockbox can easily accommodate a single large frame pistol or two compact handguns.
The Lockbox, weighing over 11 pounds, can be easily secured to any solid surface. A 3-foot security cable can be purchased from the company at an additional cost of $25.00. This can be used in a vehicle, or any other location. The 1/4-inch galvanized 7×19 cable is nylon coated down to 5/16 inches and is rated at 6,000 pounds.
