The Stoeger STR-9F 9mm has a length of 7.95 inches and provides the extended sight radius of a full size pistol. The machined slide assembly with Nitride is mounted on top of the black polymer frame. For enhanced slide manipulation in adverse conditions, the slide also features robust forward and back cocking serrations. A tactile indicator for the loaded chamber is also included. The contoured grip and finger grooves on the polymer frame provide enhanced ergonomics. The grip is also designed to provide a comfortable grip that allows for quick sight alignment and easy follow up shots. The backstrap is also interchangeable and textured, allowing for the perfect fit. The thumb-index recesses are ambidextrous and provide comfort for both left- and right-handed shooters. The STR-9F’s ambidextrous operation is enhanced by the ability to release magazines from either the left or right side. A three-slot Picatinny rail with three slots allows for the addition or removal of lights and optics. The precision barrel of the STR-9F is a 4.68 inch. The striker-fired pistol has a trigger safety and is fed by a double-stack magazine with 17 rounds. For those who reside in states that have low magazine count requirements, a 10-round magazine can be purchased. The company says that the STR-9F was designed for shooters who prefer the handling characteristics of a larger-frame handgun and a greater cartridge capacity.
