Streamlight ProTac 2.0 Series offers high lumens and long run time

A good tactical flashlight is essential, regardless of whether you are on duty or focusing on home defense. You are often faced with the dilemma of whether you want a long run time or high lumens. The new ProTac 2.0 series by Streamlight has changed this. You get the best of both in one compact package. The Streamlight ProTac 2.0 Series is made of 6000 series aircraft aluminum with an anodized finish. It is strong and durable. It has been tested for impact resistance up to two meters. The light is IP67 rated, which provides dust and waterproof operation for 30 minutes when submerged in water for one meter. The ProTac measures 6.10 inches in length and weighs 8.25 ounces, including the included battery. It also features an anti-roll head with gasket-sealed lenses. A push-button tactical tail switch with multi-function allows for one-hand operation as well as variable intensity, strobe, and momentary modes. The multi-position pocket clip and holster make it easy to carry the ProTac. The new proprietary Lithium Ion SL-50 battery pack from Streamlight provides a run time of 2.5 – 25 hours. The flashlight can be recharged via a sliding cover that exposes the USB-C port, or outside via an integrated USB C port. The ProTac 2.0 features the latest LED technology and offers exceptional brightness in three operating modes. High produces 2,000 lumens and 17,300 candelas. Medium offers 570 lumens, and 5,000 candelas. Low, with 100 lumens per second and 890 candelas. You can also program your own strobe mode. The high mode offers 2.5 hours of usage, medium gives 4.5 hours and low gives a 25-hour run. The strobe will also run for 4 hours and 25 minutes. The TEN-TAP programmable switch lets users program their light to one of three programs. You can choose from high/strobe/low (factorydefault), high only, low/medium/high. This same profile is also available on the rail-mounted ProTac 2.0 long gun light. The specs of both the tactical and rail-mounted long guns lights are different. Streamlight Chief Revenue Officer Michael F. Dineen stated that the latest addition to their ProTac series tactical handheld lights provides first responders, outdoor enthusiasts and technicians with an ideal light for everyday usage that provides bright light without sacrificing run time. They will also appreciate the ease and convenience of charging the new SL-50 battery pack inside or outside the light using a USB-C cord. The Streamlight ProTac 2.0 is now available with a MSRP of $195.00 for tactical light and $211.47 for rail-mounted long gun lights. Streamlight.com has more information.
