Sunday GunDay: New Guns For 2022 — Rifles & Handguns

Six days remain before the new year. Gun-makers all over the globe have created new rifles and pistols that will be introduced in 2022. Many of these new firearms are on display at SHOT Show 2022, Las Vegas. We’ve searched the internet for images of notable new-for-2022 pistols and rifles. These are some of the most interesting rifles and handguns that will be introduced in the new year. Daniel Defense — Shorter Delta 5 Pro, DD5 SBR Daniel Defense will launch new, lighter-weight X5 chassis rifles in 2022. Also, an AR variant of the DD5 SBR (short barrel rifle) will be available. The new X5s are available in 16” and18” barrel lengths. The Daniel Defense Delta 5 XBR Pro can be purchased in a variety chamberings, with either 20”, 24″ or 26″ barrels. The new models with shorter barrels are lighter and more appealing to hunters who prefer a chassis-style rifle. Nosler Model 21 with Carbon composite stock
Nosler’s Model 21 rifle features a single-stage TriggerTech Field trigger with a crisp, clean trigger. The pull weight can be adjusted from 2.5-5 lbs. Top safety. The Model 21 has a Shilen match-grade barrel that is hand-lapped and has a threaded muzzle. The stock is made of a lightweight, yet durable, synthetic carbon-fiber composite model. The Model 21 has a single-piece, spiral-fluted, 4340 chromoly-steel bolt that is Nitride coated for smooth operation and resistance to corrosion. The Model 21 can be chambered in 22 Nosler or 6.5 Creedmoor, 26 Nosler or 27 Nosler or 280 Ackley Improved, 28, Nosler. It is light at 7 lbs. Nosler’s Model 21 is light and easy to use without optics, making it a popular choice for hunters. Fierce Reaper Chassis rifle with carbon components The Fierce Reaper, a chassis rifle from Rizzini Arms, has a 1/2-MOA accuracy guaranteed. This rifle is lightweight at 6.5 pounds and was made for long-range precision shooters and mountain hunters. The lightweight carbon fiber components of the Reaper include carbon buttstock and M-Lok handguards, grip, and an adjustable cheekpiece. The Reaper is one of the most lightweight chassis system rifles available at $2895. The gun comes with a superb Bix’n Andy 1-3 lb. Dakota trigger with adjustable adjustment. The bolt has a 70-degree bolt throw. The Reaper has a C3 carbon fiber-wrapped, cryo-treated stainless barrel with threaded muzzle. Choose black, bronze, or Tungsten (grey) Cerakote finishes. Rock Island Armory TM22 This lightweight semi-auto.22 LR rifle from Rock Island Armory features AR type ergonomics. The stock is made of 7075 aluminum aircraft-grade aluminum for lightweight durability. The TM22 is a modestly priced rifle that features an AR-type grip, a commercial buffer tube adapter and top rail. It also has M-LOK foreend. Although the rifle is designed for right-handed operation, the TM22 can be easily modified to allow for left-handed operation. You can choose from a 34” barrel version or a 20″ barrel model (36 OAL). Both models come with two 10-round magazines, with optional 15- and 25-round magazines. The model 20” is 36” OAL and the model 18” is 34”. Christensen Arms Ridgeline Scout Rifle (under 6 lbs.) The compact, lightweight Ridgeline Scout rifle by Christensen Arms weighs in at under 6 lbs. It can also be used as a truck gun. The Ridgeline Scout has a black-Nitride-coated action, 0-MOA opticrail, barricade stop and 10-round AICS drop box magazine. It also features a Trigger Tech flat-shoe trigger. The barreled action can be mounted in a modern tan or black carbon fiber composite Sporter stock. The rifle weighs 5.9 pounds and is available in four chamberings: 5.300 BLK,.223 Rem. 6.5 Creedmoor, and.308 W. All chamberings come with a 16″ muzzle-threaded barrel which can handle a suppressor. OAL is 37.5 inches. Monza Bolt Action rifle Here’s a new rifle made in Istanbul, Turkey. It has many interesting features. The Monza rifle is lightweight, reliable, and simple to use. The bolt can be disassembled on the spot without any tools. The rifle comes standard equipped with a fiber-optic blade front and rear sight, as well as a scope rail. Three lengths are available for the button-rifled 4-groove bar. The Monza has an adjustable comb, and a detachable magazine. According to the maker, the Monza allows for multiple shots quickly with its great balance and perfect working mechanism. With the Turkish currency falling, we expect Monza rifles will be very affordable in America. Chiappa Nebula Rhino Revolver 30DS This eye-catching Chiappa Firearms Nebula Rhino 30DS revolver has a vivid, multicolored PVD coating on it and a bright-colored laminated handle. This six-shot revolver can take.38 Special ammunition and chambers for.357 Magnum. Pay attention — the barrel bore is located BELOW the centerline, at 6 O’clock. Although it may seem strange, this has a significant advantage: it reduces muzzle rise by a lot. The sights are placed on the upper portion of the forward frame/barrel house. Standard features include an adjustable rear sight and fiber optic front sight. This wheelgun is expensive at $1912.00 MSRP. However, it ships with a black leather holster, gun lock and three moon clips. The ergonomic grip is made of grey/blue laminate and fits well in the hand, with well-placed finger grooves. The 2022 Howa Elevate model is available in black carbon “natural” and a green/grey camouflage finish. Legacy Sports Int’l will increase its range of light-weight Howa 1500 models for 2022. Carbon Elevate is the leader, featuring a carbon-wrapped barrel as well as an ultralight Stocky’s full carbon fibre stock. The Howa Elevate model is very appealing to hunters, with a listed unloaded weight just 4.2 pounds (before optics). Springfield Armory SA-35 9mm Pistol Springfield Armory’s new SA-35 semi-auto pistol retains the J.M. appeal while taking advantage of modern materials. Browning’s original P-35 design. The 9mm has a forged carbon-steel slide and frame, and a cold-hammer-forged barrel. The barrel feed ramp and extractor geometry have been modified to make the SA-35 compatible with today’s defensive rounds. Factory-tuned trigger, 15 round flush-fit magazine with magazine well, beveled magazine cover, re-contoured “no bite” hammer design and modern Tactical Rack sights complete the package. The SA-35 is compatible to the original pistol’s design. This allows for easy access to a wide range of accessories and aftermarket parts. The modern SA-35 was inspired by the original Browning Hi-Power (aka the P-35). Browning Hi-Power military pistols are some of the most popular handguns of all time. They can be found in more than fifty countries. John Moses Browning originally designed the Browning Hi-Power, but Dieudonne Saive, at Fabrique Nationale in Belgium, completed the design.
