Suspect in MSU Attack Had Felony Gun Charge Reduced

I’m not required to tell you that gun control has failed. Despite refusing to enforce existing gun laws, Democrats insist on it. This week’s attack on MSU is a prime example. It’s a Democrat run college in a Democrat town in a Democrat State. The suspect was charged with felony gun charges and released. Gun Control Failed in MSU Attack Three of the eight victims are dead and five are in critical condition. Some of the injuries sustained were life-threatening, according to reports. MSU Police and Public Safety recommended that staff and students shelter in place during the incident. The office also posted live updates to Twitter: SUSPECTPHOTOS: The suspect is a Black male with shorter stature. He is wearing a navy baseball cap with a lighter brim. pic.twitter.com/9blppnX5U3– MSU Police and Public Safety (@msupolice) February 14, 2023 According to University Police, the suspect was not affiliated with the college in any way. The suspect was found by police off campus shortly after the incident began. According to reports, he died from a self-inflicted gunshot injury and was no longer a threat for campus safety. MSU Police and Public Safety subsequently lifted the shelter in place order. MSU Police and Public Safety also stated that the suspect carried a note with him. Law enforcement is currently investigating the note. We will update the story with more details if and when they release the note. Leniency is to Blame I hate to have to talk about the political aspects of this tragedy as it is still so fresh. It makes me feel sick. But liberals, Democrats, as well as the mainstream media (but again, I repeat myself), force the issue. They “never let any crisis go to waste” so they are using this opportunity to push their gun control agenda. The irony of this incident is that it only exposes the flaws in gun control. They hoped no one would notice. But we did notice. We did notice. He was then arrested again for a lesser gun-related crime a few months later. He was allowed to plead guilty to the misdemeanor while the felony was dropped.” According to reports, McRae was only given 18 months probation. He was also able to buy a firearm again after his probation, as it was a misdemeanor. According to John Dewane, Ingham County Prosecutor, “Mr. McRae would not have been allowed to legally purchase, own, or possess a firearm if the (concealed weapon) charge had been brought against him. “The misdemeanor conviction did no prevent him from buying, owning or possessing a firearm once he successfully completed his terms probation.” It is important to note that Dewane wasn’t the prosecutor at time of the suspect’s charges. Who is Gun Control Really Targeting All of this just adds to MSU’s already gun-free zone. This did not stop it. This begs the question: Who is gun control really targeting with this gun control? It clearly is not targeting criminals. They are being released to do more criminal things. It is obvious that the Second Amendment and law-abiding gunowners are the target. CCKRB’s Gottlieb makes a great statement. “We’re tired gun-hating, headline-grabbing political politicians racing to get their anti-rights agenda at every violent crime committed by a criminal or mentally ill person. This is not justice. It’s political grandstanding that penalizes people who have nothing to do the crime. New laws that only affect honest citizens gives the false impression that something has been done to prevent similar crimes in the future. It’s at the most dishonest.” As if to capitalize on the tragedy, Gretchen Whitmer, Democrat Governor, tweeted about it. Again, she ignored the fact that it happened on a Democrat college, in a Democrat town, in a Democrat country. Her state. Many of us scan for exits in rooms when we enter. Many of us have had to go through the difficult task of figuring out who our last call would be. Last night, MSU students made those calls. They were concerned for their friends’ lives and the safety of their fellow Spartans.

This is unacceptable. pic.twitter.com/SgDgQ3CbD1– Governor Gretchen Whitmer (@GovWhitmer) February 14, 2023 The grift is getting old, and we all see it. These are the people who can’t enforce the current laws and demand more. What about you stopping releasing criminals back into society. This would be a good place to start.

It’s time for us to stop blaming others. Progressive Democrats who continue to coddle criminals are to blame. The attack on MSU could have been avoided if they had done their jobs properly.
