Taurus has released the TS9, a full-size, polymer-framed, 9mm striker-fired, pistol. The TS9 is not a new pistol but it’s new to the U.S. Previously, the pistol was only available for purchase by law enforcement and military groups in Brazil and abroad. Taurus says that the TS9 pistol is now available in limited quantities on the American market due to a “sales overrun”. Its bare-bones design makes more sense, given its history as a police pistol. Taurus claims that the pistol has been rugged, reliable, and passed rigorous NATO tests. It has a 17-round magazine, an accessory rail, and an ambidextrous release. The Taurus TS9 pistols will come with four interchangeable backstraps, as well as a choice of black, gray, or OD Green frame colors. Each pistol will also include two magazines. The MSRP is $499.99.
