August 24, 2022 Team USA wins Precision Rifle World Championship
Austin Buschman, IPRF Open Division champion, was from Team USA. The first ever International Precision Rifle Federation World Championship (IPRF), took place in France in mid August. 250 shooters came from 26 countries to France’s Militaire Camp de Bitche for the inaugural IPRF event. This event was hosted by the French Precision Rifle Association, which featured five days of competition. Team USA won the match by taking first place in the Open, Limited, Ladies and Mixed divisions. Team Great Britain and Northern Ireland won the Factory division. Team South Africa won Senior division. Team Norway took the Military & Law Enforcement section. The World Champion Trophy was presented to Austin Buschman, USA, highest scoring shooter. It was held at Bitche Military Camp, Bitche, France, August 6-12, 2022. Team USA competed with 25 other national squads in Open, Limited and Factory classes. These included Ladies, Junior and Senior divisions. Austin Buschman was the first IPRF World Champion. We also congratulate the USA Precision Rifle Team on winning the first ever Precision Rifle Team World Championship. American competitors shot Berger Bullets won the Open and Limited classes. Senior Open class winners were also awarded. Team USA members win big with Berger Bullets
Team USA’s Austin Buschman won the Open Class gold medal with 158 impacts. Austin used Berger 6mm 109gr Long Range Hybrid Target Bullets (LRHT). Team Berger member Morgunking, a fellow American, took second in Open Class with just 157 impacts. Team USA member Coulter Mariatt won first place in the Limited Class.

Team Great Britain & Northern Ireland wins the Factory Division title at IPRF Championships. Team GB members placed 1st, 3rd and 5th in the factory division. Team GB’s combined score earned them 1st place in the factory division. Matt Rice, Team GB’s Facebook shooter, posted: “Huge congratulations [class winner] Lawrence Barnes for showing all of us how it should be done from the very beginning.” With an outstanding performance, Benjamin Mcilwaine finished in third place. Matt Rice of Team GB added that ZEISS Hunting, Andy Simpson and Precision Rifle Series UK were able to provide me with an absolutely stunning new ZEISS LRP riflescope.
