Registration for the Bianchi Cup 2024 is now open. Learn more about the 2024 CMP Bianchi Cup and register today at TheCMP.org/bianchicup. The Bianchi cup is made up of four events. The Practical Event involves competitors firing at distances ranging from 10 yards to fifty yards within varying time limits. The Barricade Event is a competition where competitors fire on targets either side of a barricade from behind barricades or within shooting boxes at different distances. The Falling Plate Event is a competition where competitors fire at steel plates of eight inches arranged in banks six high at distances ranging from 10 to 25 yard under different time limits. Moving Target Event: Competitors fire from shooting boxes from distances of 10 to 25 yards, at a moving target that moves from left to right. The target is exposed for 6 seconds. The competitors shoot both from a standing and prone position and are required to shoot both with strong and weak hand at various stages. The Bianchi Cup does not allow makeup shots, which adds to the challenge. The annual competition is called the Bianchi Cup, after the trophy named after one of the founders John Bianchi. Since its launch over 30 years back, the match has become one of the richest handgun competitions in the world. NEW FOR 2024! The Bianchi cup now includes a Rimfire division to encourage juniors who do not shoot centerfire pistols, as well as adults looking to warm up in a more affordable manner for the Bianchi. The Rimfire division offers a memorable Bianchi cup experience at a fraction the cost of ammo. This division will encompass the same basic rules for each of the current setups — Open, Production/Production Optics, Metallic and Revolver. Bianchi Cup Open Class — Features in Review

The stages may include both stationary and moving targets. The Course of Fire is made up of four separate matches, namely: Barricade, Moving Target, Falling Plates, and Practical. Each of the four matches requires 48 shots. Each event is worth 480 possible points. Three of the four events are scored using the NRA tombstone target P1. There are also two practical Bianchi ranges of 50 yards, a rifle range of 250+ yards, and a falling plate range. Click HERE for information on the range.
