Winter is a special season in the outdoors. Forum member JDP says that winter is the best season to shoot. One of the few ironies in life that works in my favor. The range is empty and the barrels keep cool. There are no bugs, waiting on people, or mirages. This world needs more thin-blooded snowbirds. Tell your friends about this dangerous and terrible cool weather! Are you lonely shooting? It’s the true holiday season in many ways.

The above photo is from Forum member 1LessDog who wrote: “The mound behind Coyote was an Indian burial mound. Six of them are within a mile of this one. I would love to know how many coyotes have I shot from the mound. I would estimate 4-5 per year over 35 years. It is a favorite spot to call from whenever there is a South-South wind [. Although he acknowledged that the “white winter” photos were beautiful to look at, Forum member D-4197 prefers warmer climates: “Just looking at all those white pictures makes me feel chills. You hearty souls can keep it. I grew up in the Snow-belt’ area of Cleveland. I moved to Phoenix 40 years ago and have never missed the snow.
