Hornady Security RAPiD Safe Vehicle
The Vehicle Safe, like their RAPiD Safe Nightguard, is activated via RFID to allow for quick access. Your RFID tags can be programmed for family members to open both safes. This allows for authorized access to both safes using one RFID solution.
The Vehicle Safe comes with an RFID watchband, two RFID stickers and an RFID key fob. There are also two circular barrel keys. The barrel keys allow you to access your firearm in case of system failure or loss of power. You can also access your safe using a four-to six-digit security code in the event of an RFID problem. The digital keypad at the top of the safe can be used to enter the code. The Hornady RAPiD vehicle safe is powered by four AAA batteries, or the 12-volt adaptor.
Installing the patent-pending inflatable bladder is fast and easy. It does not require any modifications to your vehicle. The bladder is attached to the console and the seat. It then inflates to the interior’s dimensions. To protect the safe from theft, a security cable is attached to the vehicle’s seat frame.
The spring-loaded door opens to reveal a padded sleeves presenter that can be used for multiple sizes of firearms. The padded sleeves presenter can also be opened to make it easy to purchase your firearm.
