The Benchmade Bugout has seen a dramatic increase in custom options since its 2017 release. Benchmade recently released the 535-3, which includes carbon fiber scales and CPM S90V steel blade steel. Benchmade also released an online tool that allows you to create your own Bugout. Benchmade also announced the 535BK-4 Bugout in January, an all-metal, mid-level option that is completely customizable. It is finally here.

The Benchmade Bugout 535BK-4
Benchmade has created a tool that allows you to create your Bugout–your knife. You can choose everything from handle material, blade steel, and hardware color. The only options that are not available in the Bugout Builder are those on the 535BK-4.
Benchmade Bugout 535BK-4 measures 7.46 inches in length and weighs 2.5 ounces. This is due to the.41 inch handle thickness and.09 inch-thick blade. The 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum handle is also detailed milled. The handle’s butt has an extra-large lanyard hole that can accept lanyards with any EDC beads.
M390 super premium stainless is used to make the 3.24-inch droppoint blade. M390 is well-known for its exceptional edge retention. Combining the M390 and high saber grind creates a sharp edge. The swedge improves penetration. The blade’s Cerakote finish enhances its overall appearance and provides additional corrosion resistance.
The Benchmade Bugout 535BK-4 is designed in right-hand tip up carry with the mini deep pocket clip. It can also be reversed to allow for left-hand tip up carry. For an eye-catching aesthetic, the 535BK-4 also has striking red accents from the thumb stud and spacers.
