But the sound of thousands upon thousands of rounds being fired downrange is another matter. SilencerCo’s Osprey 45 2.0 made the sound of rounds hitting steel more prominent thanks to their companies. The SilencerCo Osprey45 2.0 Constructed from aluminum and 17-4 stainless, the Osprey45 2.0 has a unique polygonal design. Monocore baffles are used in this design, which allows for increased internal volume and better sound performance. Push-button locking allows for quick indexing and quick and secure alignment. SilencerCo states that the Osprey 2.0 cannot be retrofitted with parts from older Osprey models that used the lever mechanism. This is due to the ATF-required serial numbers being placed on the back cap. Anyone who sends their original Osprey will be provided a repaired suppressor using the same lever mechanism. The Osprey 2.0 can be shot wet or dry. Shooting wet can improve sound suppression by adding a little bit of water or clear wire pulling gel to the back of your suppressor. The Osprey 452.0 is compatible with a range of calibers, including 9mm,.45 ACP, and.300 BLK. The suppressor weighs 9.2 ounces and does not add any extra weight to your pistol’s muzzle.
