Trijicon Announces Commercial Version Of VCOG 1-8×28 Scope

Trijicon just announced a commercially-available variant of the USMC’s new Squad Common Optic: the VCOG 1-8×28 SCO.

Trijicon, the United States Marine Corps’ “Squad Common Optic”, has announced a commercially-available version of the VCOG 1-8×28 SCO. The VCOG 1-8×28 SCO was designed to excel at close quarters as well as long-range engagement distances. In fact, it is almost identical to the military version. The illuminated red reticle can be set to 1x magnification to allow for quick acquisition of targets at close range. Higher magnification settings will give you the MRAD tree scales that can be adjusted to provide precise holds and range estimations. The reticle’s 11 brightness levels (including two night vision levels) allow the VCOG SCO to be used for clearing rooms and taking precise shots at distance. Trijicon chose to use forged 7075 T6 aluminum alloy as the scope’s body, and multiple coatings on the scope’s lenses. These coatings offer maximum light transmission, no distortion, and exceed military requirements for abrasion resistance. The tough lens coatings are not enough to protect the scope. Tenebraex flipcaps are also included in the VCOG 1-8×28 Sco. The scope comes with integrated base/mount systems and tethered turbine caps. This mounting system eliminates the need to use separate scope rings and allows the scope’s zero to remain constant despite the mount’s quick-detach capabilities. The scope is waterproof up to 66ft. The scope retails for $3,150 and is now available. Storm Tactical’s impressive target pack includes62 printable targets for rifle and handgun range usage. Target grids and bullseye sizes can be found in MOA. Get Free Targets
