Derringers are a great choice for concealed carry. Maybe it’s the nostalgic appeal of carrying a gun with such a rich history. It could be that they are easy to conceal and carry. The Bond Arms Stinger is the right choice if you are looking for a way to conceal the issue.
The Bond Arms Stinger is Now in.22LR
The Editor’s Update:
It’s here. Bond Arms has added.22LR (as promised) to the Stinger. It was already available in 9mm or.380 auto.
The.22LR Stinger RS is made of a stainless steel frame and weighs 16 ounces. This is 4 ounces less than the.22LR Stinger RS 9mm or.380 autos, which only weigh 12 and 13 ounces. The 3-inch stainless-steel Rough style barrel also adds to its durability and weight.
Bond Arms custom fitted the.22LR barrel to the frame to ensure reliable ignition. The company will not sell a.22LR accessory barrel.
The 9mm and.380 auto are available at $379 each, but the.22LR Stinger RS is only $269.00.
The Bond Arms Stinger
The Stinger is precision-machined from a billet made of 7075 aluminum. The pistol’s frame is protected by a black anodized hard-coat finish. The Stinger’s 3.5-inch barrels match the frame’s narrow 0.55 inch profile and can be interchanged with other Stinger barrels.
The Zytel composite grips are slim and high-impact, and fit well on the frame. This keeps the profile low-profile and concealable. If you prefer a bigger grip, the Stinger comes with standard rubber grip panels. A generously sized integral trigger guard is located just forward of the grip. It allows for easy access to the trigger.
The Stinger uses stainless steel where it is needed to ensure durability. The receiver is strengthened by the addition of a stainless steel firing pin block. This allows the Stinger’s ability to fire +P rounds. The release lever, crossbolt safety, hammer and trigger are all made of stainless steel.
The Stinger is available in 9mm and.380 Auto, with a.22 LR model soon to follow.
