Although its overall length seems illegal, the barrel is 14 inches and it meets all legal requirements. The VRF14’s 7075-aluminum receiver and polymer top forend make it durable and rugged. The VRF14’s interface is easy to use from your rifle. It features an AR-style pistol grip. The shotgun’s small size and portability comes at a price. There is no buttstock. It is therefore a shoot-from-the-hip option. The buttstock has been replaced by a sling adaptor for easy carrying during a round. Picatinny rails run almost the length of the VRF14’s top side. This allows for attachment of optics or other accessories. It ships with flip-up iron sights if you’re into them. Two seven-slot Picatinny rails on either side of the handguard provide additional space for accessories and optics. The entire underside of handguard has a Picatinny rail that allows for further expansion. The VRF14 is chambered in 12-gauge and comes with a 5-round magazine for semi-automatic 5+1 rounds. It is compatible with all VR series magazines in 9 and 19-rounds. The bufferbolt system included helps reduce felt recoil.
