Viridian HS1 Laser Hand Stops Now Available in IR

Viridian’s HS1 hand stop/laser aiming device is now night-vision-compatible with their new HS1 IR. Viridian Weapon Technologies wondered why the hand stop was taking up so much space when it could be doing double duty. This led to the creation of the original HS1, a hand stop and laser aiming device that could be used with either a green or red visible laser. Although the tactical world is not averse to using laser aiming devices during daylight operations, they are extremely useful at night. Infrared lasers are a powerful force multiplier on the battlefield. Soldiers equipped with night vision can deliver precise fire without the need for an optic, cheekweld, or any other type of sight picture. Viridian is offering the HS1 IR, an IR device that mounts to a rifle. Night vision is becoming more popular and accessible to civilians. Purple laser is an example of invisible IR beam.
The HS1 IR is now available with an infrared light. It was designed to improve the shooter’s control of their weapon and provide a clear indication of its point of aim. Unlike visible lasers, which can only place a dot on a target in daylight conditions, IR laser aimers can be used with night vision to show a clear beam from the emitter to the point of aim, up to two miles in the case if the HS1 IR. Whether you are looking to hunt hogs in total darkness or just need to be ready to move in the dark, the Viridian HS1 IR can help. This combo unit is lighter, smaller, and more affordable than other similar devices in its category. It also doubles as a handstop. It can be mounted using two slots of MLOK, but you can also use a Picatinny Rail adaptor. The HS1 IR can be turned on for 1.5 hours, but the automatic activation/deactivation should allow for longer battery life. The HS1 IR is powered by a single 1/3 n-cell battery. The hand stop housing can be ordered in black or FDE. The IR beam can be adjusted for windage and elevation. The MSRP for the HS1 IR is $249 and comes with a 7-year warranty. While the visible laser variants of the HS1 may be more tacticool than genuinely useful, the new HS1 IR has the potential to become a serious piece of night vision kit for users to consider. For more, please visit viridianweapontech.com.More On Laser Aiming Devices:NEXT STEP: Download Your Free Storm Tactical Printable Target Pack 62 Printable MOA Targets with DOT Drills – Rifle Range in YARDS This impressive target pack from our friends at Storm Tactical contains 62 printable targets for rifle and handgun range use.
