The Weatherby Model 307 rifle actions were announced today. This is the first new action line from the company in 50 years. The Model 307 can be purchased as a standalone action or as a rifle, such as the 307 Range XP and 307 Alpine MDT. It is compatible with popular accessories and has a TriggerTech Trigger and a fluted Bolt that can be disassembled easily without tools. It is also compatible with a variety detachable magazine options and comes in three different action lengths. Weatherby stated that the goal of the 307 action was to create an action that would accommodate the wide range of stocks, triggers and rails available today. All rifles equipped with Model 307 action will be manufactured in Weatherby’s Sheridan headquarters. Shooters and hunters can expect to receive the same precision craftsmanship Weatherby has provided since 1945. It also includes an adjustable TriggerTech Trigger, an Accubrake at the muzzle of the spiral-fluted barrel, and a Magpul Magazine. Model 307 Alpine MDT has a lighter MDT HNT26 Chassis, which makes it the more premium option. The range XP also features an adjustable TriggerTech Trigger, an Accubrake, and a spiral-fluted bar, but its magnesium alloy and carbon fibre chassis system has a few other tricks up its sleeve. The Model 307 Builders action has an estimated MSRP price of $750. The 307 Range XP is priced at $1,199, and the 307 Alpine MDT is priced at $2,999. All three will be available to dealers by the summer of 2023 in 15 popular chambering options.
