RELATED STORY ISOtunes SportCALIBER Earbuds Recharge while Stored in the WildEar EarzON Personal Hearing Protection Custom-fitted to the user’s ears, the EarzON Earplugs can be made in soft silicone, ultrasoft silicone, and acrylic. The earplugs offer all-day comfort. The earplugs also offer consistent protection. According to the company, research studies have shown that the real-world protection matches laboratory-derived noise reduction predictions. EarzON earplugs can be adjusted to fit all sizes and shapes of ears thanks to their custom fit. They can also accommodate ears with drastically altered characteristics due to injury, disease, surgery, or illness. Both the basic acrylic and silicone versions have passive noise reduction ratings of 26dB. The filtered acrylic versions have specially designed acoustic filter that reduces sounds evenly over a wide frequency range. The NRR (Noise Reduction Rate) of the filtered acrylic earplugs is 11-19dB. The filtered acrylic earplugs have a low volume but high quality filter that allows you to reduce the volume without compromising your listening experience. WildEar claims that custom fitting is possible by taking impressions of your ears. There are two options. Ear impressions can be provided by most audiologists for a fee of $30-$75. You will need to tell the provider that WildEar has already provided you with the product when you make your appointment. They will only need to take an ear impression of each ear. The Soft Silicone comes in orange, black, or blue. The Ultra-Sift Silicone comes in orange/black, and pink/black. The Acrylic is available in black, red, and white, while the filtered acrylic is available in clear. Each earplug has a left/right indicator on the ear and your name to ensure that no one else uses them. Available Now The EarzON Custom hearing Protection from WildEar costs between $99.50 and 134.50.
