Wilson Combat brought its AR9X Carbine to the firearm event. The AR9X soft shooting AR is much more than a modified AR-15. It is a unique weapon. The Wilson Combat AR9X Carbine Building is built on a billet-machined aluminium receiver. The AR9X maintains the familiar controls and handling of the AR platform. The AR9 receiver can also accept standard MIL-SPEC AR accessories. This includes furniture, triggers and charging handles as well as optics. It ships with the Wilson Combat/BCM Starburst Gunfighter Grip, and Wilson/Rogers Super-Stoc already in place. (Photo by Alex Landeen). The billet upper features the Wilson Combat MLOK rail (suitable to gas block coverage) with full length top Picatinnyrail. You can mount any accessories you wish, such as lights, night vision and lasers. The handguard houses a 16″ Wilson Combat match grade 9mm button-rifled barrel that has a 1-10″ twist and a 5/8×24 threaded Muze. The muzzle is equipped with a Wilson Combat Q-Comp Muzzle Brake, but it can be easily adapted to a suppressor. The AR9 suppressor host is optimized with less gas blowback and better accuracy than other designs. The bolt carrier group is a proprietary design that features a claw extractor and plunger-ejector, which are tuned for outstanding reliability. The closed-bolt blowback system offers soft shooting with a wide range of 9mm loads. It also provides excellent feed reliability with all bullet profiles, including hollowpoint and +P tactical ammunition. The bolt lock also ensures reliable lockback when empty with your pistol’s factory magazines. Flared magwells allow for quick reloads and can accept most 9mm service pistol magazines, including those from Beretta, Glock, and Wilson Combat EDC X9.
