Zeiss Announces LRP S3 FFP Riflescope

Zeiss just announced the LRP S3FFP riflescope line. It features two new models of long range precision scopes with impressive elevation adjustment capabilities. Zeiss still produces some of the best optics and riflescopes in the industry, despite its age. The LRP S3 FFP is the newest addition to Zeiss’ catalog. It features two scope models and two reticle styles. One model is 4-25x50mm while the other is 6-36x56mm. The tube of the former model is approximately two inches shorter than that of the latter, which is something to consider if compactness is a concern. However, the latter also has a larger objective lens, and greater magnification. They share many of the same features as the LRP S3 models, including a daytime-illuminated reticle and an externally locked windage turret. These scopes can theoretically send rounds farther than comparable quality scopes of their class due to their built-in adjustment capabilities. These scopes have a lot of potential to be used in ELR shooting competitions. However, they can also be used to accurately shoot longer distances than other comparable quality scopes in their class. The MSRP for both the 4-25x50mm and 6-36x56mm models will be $2,199.99, while the MSRP for the 6-36x56mm model is $2,499.99.
