2025 Rimfire Sporter Match Will Feature Digital Target

The 2025 National Rimfire Sporter Rifle Match, scheduled for July 20 at the Camp Perry National Guard Training Facility in Port Clinton, Ohio, will be performed by the Civilian Marksmanship Program ( CMP ) for the first time. Unlike previous times, the 2025 National Rimfire Sporter celebration will be held on Camp Perry’s Petrarca Range, which is equipped with CMP’s eTargets year-round. The CMP’s outdoor electronic targets employ Kongsberg Target System (KTS ) technology. At each fire place, monitors are present that instantly show appropriate shot scores. The 2025 National Matches will use the mobile version of the KTS method, which has been featured at CMP Travel Games activities and the National Matches highpower set for the past few years. As another advantage, the eTarget program at the National Matches will include the KTS Shooter’s Journal, which keeps a log of each individual’s shots/scores on the firing range.
